Cera Byer is an accomplished dance-maker with over 20 years of experience choreographing for performing artists such Amanda Palmer, L10, and Eli Marrs, as well as for film, fashion shows, and musical theater productions. Her work has been called "Raw, emotive, and extremely original", by Julia Loipersberger of Kryztoff Raw Magazine. Cera earned her B.A. in Dance Performance & Choreography from SF State University, and has since received residencies from San Francisco's Garage Theater, had her work commissioned by the Adelaide Fringe Festival, and has taught workshops in composition and dance in over a dozen countries. She is currently the choreographer & director of Swerve Dance Company. Cera takes a people-centric approach to dance, deepening her understanding of different cultures through music, movement, and body language and the study of many world dance forms. This has informed her work and led her to create from the assumption that we are all more connected than we are separate. www.cerawithac.com
