THIS HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL 2018 in order to allow more personal growth for our dancers before diving into this program. Details to come this week! Thank you! ~Aubre

The Raqs Artist Project is the culmination of years of training, performing, experience, research, teaching, listening, and creating.

This is a unique mentorship program created, directed, and facilitated by Aubre Hill for ANY style of bellydance. Raqs Sharqi, Cabaret, Fusion, etc artists are all encouraged to apply.

Dancers must apply to be in this program which will include technique training, artistic development, one on one mentorship, and a full performance.

The nuts & bolts:
A small group of dancers will be accepted based upon goals, commitment, and artistic dedication. This group will meet Tuesdays 9:00-10:30pm at MAS for creative lessons, lectures, and group assignments. Additionally dancers will have a MAS pass to attend 4 classes a week (Aubre will help select which would be most beneficial) during the program AND a private lesson each week with Aubre. This program will start Tuesday July 18th and complete Tuesday August 22nd, 2017. Total cost for this 6 week program is $600 and can be split into payments. Dancers will also need to purchase selected books, notebook, and costuming for performance. Costs of these materials can creatively be kept to a minimum of an estimated $100-200. Scholarship & Work Trade can be available under specific circumstances.

Application:
Interested dancers must submit a full application by Wednesday, June 28th, 2017. Application should include a dance resume, links to recent work, and an essay about where you would like to take your dancing, what is your dream/ goal. This can be emailed to aubre@aubrehill.com or sent to MAS, 3326 Verdugo Road, Los Angeles, CA 90065.

Applicants will be chosen by Saturday, July 1st, 2017 and an email will be sent with full schedule and assignment list.

Payment will be due before our first meeting Tuesday, July 18th, 2017.

Scholarship/Work Trade:
For dancers interested in this program but not financially able to pay the full tuition, include in your application an essay as to why you should be eligible for a scholarship and what skills you may be able to offer in exchange for tuition.
