Turkish Romany Intensive (6 hours of instruction!) with ARTEMIS!

Turkish Romany Dance, History and Culture: The Turkish Romany (Gypsy) people have performed in Turkey for the past 1000 years. They were the most famous street performers during the Ottoman Empire. This is the mother of Turkish Oriental dance. I will teach steps, hip and pelvic articulations, isolations, gestures and some short combinations. This material is perfect for your Tribal, Oriental or Romany dance vocabulary. This workshop separates fact from fiction about Turkish Romany dance, history and culture.
